4. On The Green
1. For you readers of the Report and attendees of last week’s Saxon show, I apologize. I misled you. I reported that it was the same old line up when it wasn’t. Pat the Neighbor filled in for Louis the Freaker. Tonight, we get back to our usual and digs with (drum roll Darin)…
Flying Johnny V on bass and face
Darin Murphy on drums and gum
Louis J. Meyers on heavy pedal steel
Conducted by K. McVein.
2. This Thursday there will be no Happy Hour and a Half at Antone’s, but thank you to all that came out for the free rock and roll. The HH excitement will resume next week, so refresh yourself on favorite Soulhat, Earthpig and Fire, and Shat Record tunes. The request line will be open. Another notable show – Soulhat returns to the Steamboat on that lucky duck day of Friday, September 13th.
3. McVein says,”This week I promise to bring the les paul, it is the bonecrusher guitar, for all you guitar geeks, with slight modifications. It is old and heavy, but it forces me to rock in a special way.”
4. Now think Target Line Maintenance. The shortest distance between the ball and pin is a straight line. See the line and work it!
Don’t hit one ball without a target. The target is the pin or, if you cannot shoot directly at it or see it, place a quarter in your mind on the fairway and aim at this small target.
