More from SXSW+

You can see and hear ex-Soulhat guitarist Bill Cassis, playing backup for Charlie Sexton for the remainder of SXSW, at least (no word on whether this will become a regular gig). Check auschron.com for up-to-date local and tour information.

If you’re a fan of Billy and/or ex-Sister Seven guitarist Wayne Sutton, be sure to check-out Wayne’s latest CD, “Walking Disaster,” available very soon via his web-site. The new disc was recorded in Luck, Texas by Willie Nelson’s personal engineer (and a great musical talent in his own right) Matt Hubbard, and features both Carolyn Wonderland on vocals, and Bill Cassis on harmonium and lap steel.

If you liked Wayne’s last record “Heart of the Donkey,” we know you’ll dig this one … though we think its fair to say that “Walking Disaster” is something of a departure from his previous solo work. He’s growing leaps and bounds as an artist, and we’re sure proud of that. Anyhow, give Wayne a visit over at www.waynesdonkey.com and look for more info on the new LP soon.

And if you’re in Austin for SXSW or townies like us, you can see Wayne at Momo’s on March 18. You never know who’s going to show up on SXSW weekend, so be sure and see Wayne if you can.
